About Fehmi Demiralp

About Me

I design and build software that must work reliably under pressure — real-time embedded systems, backend services, web platforms, and desktop applications. Over 30 years across Turkey, England, and Germany, I have owned the full arc from bare-metal firmware on microcontrollers to distributed server architectures, collaborating with engineers and teams across multiple countries and industries.

My instinct is architectural: I define module boundaries, ownership semantics, and threading models before the first line of code is written. This discipline has shaped AUTOSAR Classic middleware, lock-free real-time pipelines, hardware security integrations, and cross-platform build systems spanning multiple operating systems — Linux, UNIX, and Windows — and compiler toolchains. I am equally comfortable designing from scratch on a blank datasheet and delivering within the constraints of an established, safety-certified codebase.

I wrote two programming books — one officially endorsed by the Turkish Ministry of Education — and hold a patent in hardware-level security. Based in Munich, I am now transitioning to independent consulting under the name Fedem, offering C++ architecture, embedded systems, and platform engineering services to automotive, industrial, and technology clients across Europe. In parallel, I am building two projects: UMTSM, a model-driven state machine code generator targeting commercial release, and FFS, the C++23 plug-in web framework that powers this very site in production — developed entirely through AI-assisted engineering as a working proof of concept for that methodology.
